Public Private Finance Award
Barking and Havering LIFT has been awarded first place in the category of ‘Best NHS LIFT JV Established’ at the Public Private Finance Awards 2004. The partnership has been established between Barking & Dagenham and Havering Primary Care Trusts (PCTs), the North East London Mental Health Trust and Primaria (Miller Construction Ltd.).
The judging panel was impressed with the team’s innovation in reaching financial close and highlighted that the project demonstrated the importance of good communication which allowed the partners to make strong progress.
As well as being successful in this category, Barking and Havering LIFT was also shortlisted for the award ‘Best Private Sector Consortium’.
Built In Quality Award
Following the successful completion of the Lakeside project, Miller Construction, Miller Developments and the Project Architect were invited by the Local Authority to put forward the project for the “Built in Quality” scheme run nationally by regional environmental departments of Local Authorities.
A “Highly Commended” Certificate for the work carried out at Lakeside.
Bob Carter and his team, Paul Langton, Alex Weekes, Dennis Pudar and Glen Hughes are to be congratulated on completing the Lakeside project to budget, on time and to a quality of design and construction which has now been officially recognised by the Local Authority.
